Child neglect in Oklahoma is defined as the omission or failure to adequately supply nurturance for the child. Meaning food, shelter, medicine, adequate hygiene, adequate education, and any of their healthcare needs as far as medical or behavioral healthcare needs. Also, the admission of any special care made necessary to keep the child safe. Neglect can also be defined as the failure or admission to protect the child from exposure to the sale of illegal drugs or even the manufacturer of illegal drugs in their home. Any illegal activity and any sexual activity will be considered neglect in the state of Oklahoma. Also, abandonment would also fall under this neglect umbrella in the state of Oklahoma.
